Detailed guide to all 18 holes at Estepona Golf: par, handicap, distances by tee and descriptions.

Every hole has its own character. Forgiving fairways, demanding greens, wind that shifts from the mountains to the sea. This is the hole-by-hole guide, with the information you'll want before you tee off and the story you'll tell afterwards.

Hole 1 · Par 4 · Hcp 2

A long par 4 with a slight dog-leg left. Beware the left side of the fairway: it falls away sharply into the rough. Large green, slightly raised and well guarded by three bunkers.

  • White: 384 m
  • Yellow: 356 m
  • Blue: 301 m
  • Red: 301 m

Hole 2 · Par 5 · Hcp 13

The tee shot turns gently left, then the fairway runs straight and uphill. The ground leans to the left, so it pays to favour that side.

  • White: 420 m
  • Yellow: 410 m
  • Blue: 373 m
  • Red: 373 m

Hole 3 · Par 4 · Hcp 7

A spectacular elevated tee with sea views and a steep drop down to the green. The wind is very much in play.

  • White: 360 m
  • Yellow: 355 m
  • Blue: 355 m
  • Red: 309 m

Hole 4 · Par 4 · Hcp 15

A short par 4 with a slight dog-leg right and the fairway falling the same way. The tee shot sets up the whole hole: cutting the corner on the right carries real risk.

  • White: 285 m
  • Yellow: 270 m
  • Blue: 270 m
  • Red: 238 m

Hole 5 · Par 3 · Hcp 17

A downhill par 3 with bunkers guarding the hole. The hard part is judging the club, with both the drop and the wind at work.

  • White: 141 m
  • Yellow: 130 m
  • Blue: 117 m
  • Red: 117 m

Hole 6 · Par 5 · Hcp 5

A long, straight par 5 that narrows where the second shot lands. How you play that shot shapes the rest of the hole. Raised green.

  • White: 444 m
  • Yellow: 430 m
  • Blue: 407 m
  • Red: 407 m

Hole 7 · Par 3 · Hcp 11

A wide green, but well protected by bunkers and slightly raised, so it has to be carried in the air.

  • White: 171 m
  • Yellow: 159 m
  • Blue: 133 m
  • Red: 133 m

Hole 8 · Par 4 · Hcp 9

A very narrow par 4 where the difficulty is mainly off the tee, with out of bounds all down the left. Wide green with gentle movement.

  • White: 338 m
  • Yellow: 323 m
  • Blue: 323 m
  • Red: 278 m

Hole 9 · Par 4 · Hcp 3

A sharp dog-leg right. Played straight, the drive can run through, yet you need enough distance to see the green for the second shot. The green sits high, falling away steeply towards the fairway.

  • White: 320 m
  • Yellow: 304 m
  • Blue: 304 m
  • Red: 229 m

Hole 10 · Par 4 · Hcp 18

A strategic short par 4 where club choice off the tee is everything. The lake on the left comes into play easily. The green can be reached with a driver, but at considerable risk. A stream defends the entrance to a simple, well-protected green.

  • White: 264 m
  • Yellow: 237 m
  • Blue: 237 m
  • Red: 213 m

Hole 11 · Par 5 · Hcp 8

A long par 5 whose difficulty lies in its raised green. It takes good shots to reach it in regulation: the steep bank at the front means it has to be carried.

  • White: 473 m
  • Yellow: 452 m
  • Blue: 383 m
  • Red: 383 m

Hole 12 · Par 4 · Hcp 16

An approachable par 4 that takes the drive on the rise. Raised green, with the slope at the front hiding where the ball finishes.

  • White: 303 m
  • Yellow: 273 m
  • Blue: 273 m
  • Red: 233 m

Hole 13 · Par 4 · Hcp 1

The hardest hole

A straight hole climbing steadily and steeply. The constant rise makes it play longer than it looks.

  • White: 350 m
  • Yellow: 313 m
  • Blue: 313 m
  • Red: 280 m

Hole 14 · Par 3 · Hcp 4

Signature · The course's postcard

A demanding par 3, mainly for its length and its slightly raised green. Danger on the left and well guarded by bunkers. A hole where par is always welcome.

  • White: 187 m
  • Yellow: 174 m
  • Blue: 134 m
  • Red: 134 m

Hole 15 · Par 4 · Hcp 10

A handsome par 4, mostly downhill. The landing area is blind and a large rock in the middle of the fairway marks the line of play. A fine second shot, attacking the green from above.

  • White: 331 m
  • Yellow: 323 m
  • Blue: 323 m
  • Red: 290 m

Hole 16 · Par 3 · Hcp 14

A downhill par 3 with a very wide green with gentle movement, well defended by bunkers.

  • White: 179 m
  • Yellow: 163 m
  • Blue: 163 m
  • Red: 134 m

Hole 17 · Par 5 · Hcp 6

A long par 5 with a slight dog-leg right on the third shot. Raised green with severe slopes: probably the hardest green on the course.

  • White: 461 m
  • Yellow: 448 m
  • Blue: 402 m
  • Red: 402 m

Hole 18 · Par 4 · Hcp 12

To finish, a handsome par 4 with a slight dog-leg right, heading towards the sea. A very wide green with stunning views of both the sea and the mountains.

  • White: 295 m
  • Yellow: 283 m
  • Blue: 283 m
  • Red: 268 m
