Information on the use of cookies on the esteponagolf.com website, in accordance with article 22 of the LSSI-CE and the guidelines of the Spanish Data Protection Agency.

1. What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files that websites install on the user's device to store information about their browsing. They allow the site to remember preferences or collect statistical data about its use.

2. Types of cookies we use

This Site uses two categories of cookies:

· Technical or necessary cookies: essential for the Site to work (keeping the session, remembering your language or your cookie choice). They do not require consent.

· Analytics cookies: Google Analytics 4 (GA4), to find out in aggregate how many people visit the Site, where they come from and which pages they view. They are only loaded if you expressly accept them in the cookie banner. If you do not, the Site does not download the Google Analytics code.

3. Cookie details

What the Site stores in your browser:

· eg-cookie-consent (browser local storage, first party): remembers whether you accepted or rejected non-essential cookies. It is kept until you clear your browser data.

· Management panel session (local storage, first party, only for club staff who sign in at /admin): keeps the session open. It is removed when signing out.

· _ga (Google Analytics cookie, only if you accept it): stores a random identifier to tell visits from the same browser apart. It is pseudonymous data and does not contain your name or email. Expires after 2 years.

· _ga_E0DY9L7DLN (Google Analytics cookie, only if you accept it): keeps the state of the visit. Expires after 2 years.

· Google Maps map on the home and contact pages: it only loads if you accept cookies or press "Show the map". It is served by Google, which may set its own cookies under its privacy policy (policies.google.com).

· Polargate visit counter (no cookies or storage on your device, always on): it counts page views and clicks on bookings, phone, email and WhatsApp to know how many people visit the Site. It uses no cookies or permanent identifiers, does not store your IP address, and the fingerprint used to count a visit changes every day. Because it does not access your device, it does not require consent. Data is kept for 25 months.

Google Analytics is provided by Google Ireland Limited. Advertising and ad personalisation are switched off: the data is only used to measure how the Site is used and is kept for 14 months. Google may process data outside the European Economic Area with the safeguards set out in the GDPR. Fonts are served from the Site itself, with no connection to third parties.

4. Managing and withdrawing consent

You can accept or reject non-essential cookies in the banner shown when you enter the Site, and change your choice at any time from the "Cookie settings" link in the footer. If you withdraw consent, the Site stops measuring your visit and deletes the Google Analytics cookies.

In addition, all browsers let you configure cookies in their privacy options. Blocking technical cookies may affect how the Site works.
